New study reveals what really turns men on
Wednesday Jan. 13, 2010 06:22 PM
According to a recent study published in Psychological Science, men are attracted to the smell of a fertile woman. The scientists behind this study took their cues from the animal kingdom, where previous studies indicate that mating rituals are influenced by scent signals released by the females. Male testosterone levels go up ...

I’m Disoriented
( Parkinson's Disease)
Wednesday Dec. 02, 2009 02:39 PM
I just went back into the bedroom for one of very many times so far this evening to check on her. When I asked her what was causing her to be so restless, she answered, “I’m disoriented.” She has been moving around in bed this evening, lifting herself up on her elbows and looking around. I have become conditioned to head to t ...

My entire life will change tomorrow when I start a new treatment at a pain clinic, which will include medication to help me taper off OXYcontin as well as things like steriod shots into my knees, physical therapy, psychological counseling, random urinanalysis, and visits three times a week to the clini ...

Buprenorphine
( Drug Addiction)
Tuesday Aug. 11, 2009 05:20 PM
What a double-edged sword, like so much in the world. Nothing comes free or without a cost or consequence, and so it was with Suboxone with me. I started using Subutex but the insurance company would not approve it as a pain control medication. It DID work for several months but I developed some sores in my mouth and loss of ...

Another Day
Sunday Aug. 09, 2009 08:28 PM
Feeling lonely and isolated today until I signed on to this site. Asked a few questions, made a few comments, changed my mood from mildly depressed about and in pain to feeling more accepting and that things to change. It's so important to acknowledge the good in our lives, in our moments because they are so fleeting. I so ha ...

Managing the pain of inoperable ostearthritis in the knees with opiates is a tricky thing. Over twenty years, I've worked my way up to narcotics and addiction, and alcoholism to boot ... but that was already in my genes. I went through addiction treatment almost eight years ago and am wonder if I succeeded or not, as I'm manag ...
